This event fit our ministry because, the training gave us not only mental health awareness. Awareness from a Biblical perspective. The training gave a theological and therapeutic approach. I believe all who are in leadership positions would benefit from this training. Especially on how to approach mental health issues in the Church.
We encounter different types of people and with this information we can engage on several levels, knowing the warning signs and with better understanding we can achieve greater lasting results.
Our mission is to restore the lives of individuals and families who are homeless and to prevent homelessness. Many who are homeless are experiencing mental health issues. We are now better equipped to assist those who are experiencing these challenges.
We constantly come in contact with people and this helps us to better understand how we should react to people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
